"Within the Chicano rasquachismo style, I repurpose exertion, dialogue, fragments, failure, play, proximity, sewing and smells to physicalize fantastical worlds, celebrate human resilience, and satirize social patterns. My performances teeter the audience between unnatural norms of polite spectatorship, and pathways for impacting the community and futures around them.

I manifest re-owning our movement as inspired by Kai Hazelwood, Edisa Weeks, Marjani Forté-Saunders, Marie de la Palme, Rashaun Mitchel, and Pam Pietro who practice art making as community care. Harnessing embodiment in educational workshops, I cherish helping people learn more about their bodies, strengthening our sense of each other, and cultivating the ability to access our body’s power and archival wisdom. "

I support artists and organizations to develop, fund and build sustainable infrastructure so they can focus on creating. I work as project manager, producer, event/wedding planner, touring production manager, grant writer, stage manager, press/media kits, and more.

Commissions include REDCAT (Los Angeles), Kelly Strayhorn Theater, Abrons Art Center/Henry Street Settlement, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, and residencies at Jacob’s Pillow | Lab, Movement Research, EMPAC, Mercury Store, and Snug Harbor Newhouse Cultural Center.

"I relish constructing space to resemble my family’s matrilineal gatherings of gossip, cooking, and caretaking as sites of renewal, music, and social dance.  Activating improvisation, visual art, poetry, digital design and satire, I nurture and reveal the power of the human body and collective transcendence.

I have danced with multiple companies and freelance performed across New York City, and also in Los Angeles, Berlin, Barcelona, and Paris over the past 10 years. I design and realize choreography, costumes, sets, audience engagement, visual art and digital art of performances.

Teaching embodiment, visualization, and manual alignment, I share my knowledge of rehabilitation, anatomical efficiency, and movement science to help clients learn more about their bodies and grow sustainable fitness habits.

Courses and personal training is designed to strengthen your balance, stability, awareness, flexibility and ability to access our body’s power. As a licensed GYROTONIC ® Expansion System instructor, I help people learn how to make space in their spine and joints using their muscles, improving posture and reducing pain.
